Capital Audiofest

Capital Audiofest began in 2010 as a small, informal gathering and has grown into one of the best-known consumer audio shows on the US East Coast. Based in the Washington, DC area, the event retained much of its original enthusiast character even as the number of exhibitors and listening rooms increased. Its identity is less corporate than many large trade events: the emphasis is on music, approachable demonstrations and direct conversation between visitors and the people who design, import and sell the equipment.

The show is particularly known for its friendly, family-oriented atmosphere. Dedicated listening rooms sit alongside a marketplace for vinyl, CDs and accessories, while live music and social events extend the experience beyond normal exhibition hours. That relaxed structure encourages visitors to return to rooms, compare systems and talk in depth rather than simply collect brochures. Capital Audiofest has therefore become both a serious auditioning opportunity and an annual community reunion for.
